Strengthening Capacity and Scaling Outreach
in Low-income and Disadvantaged Communities
Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) adoption is largely concentrated in a small number of states and ZIP codes with higher income and education.
The communities with the lowest per-capita rates of ZEV adoption often face multiple challenges including:
Higher transportation costs
Greater exposure to air pollution and associated health impacts
Lower access to ZEV information, incentives, and ZEV charging options
The goal of this report is to lower access to ZEV information, incentives, and ZEV charging options by creating a roadmap for community based organizations to implement education, awareness, and access to ZEVs.
